A listener phoned a disk jokey during his show at a radio station to ask a question about a forthcoming lunar eclipse .
"The eclipse can be half past one in the morning" the DJ informed heer."That late?"she snapped"i don't know why they don't schedule these things so that the children can also enjoy them too."
Funny huh! the eclipse was really beautiful, i'll give you a gist of it so be on the read out of it.Until then its your life,its my life and we live it like we want to.

Announcement

Regarding the eclipse to occur on the 29th of March, a comedy TV show in Ghana had this announcement to give to the general public;
I said the public should not blame them for the black-out to occur from 8:08 and 9:08 that they had done it so long in the homes and they were doing it outside.And even if it is then its God putting them off.

A sight to see.

On Wednesday,the 29th of March this year few countries would experience the total eclipse of the sun.This is a rare phenomenom where the moon passes between the sun and the earth and its shadow falls on the surface of the earth,and the mighty sun's disk covers the moon.This celestial event would happen in some beautiful African countries like Togo,Benin,Nigeria, Niger, Chad,Libya,Egypt and the gateway to Africa,Ghana and also Brazil.
The moons shadow actually has 2 parts ie the penumbra[faint outer shadow] and the umbra[total shadow].Depending on ones position a partial or total eclipse is seen.
Unfortunately the whole phase would be brief lasting in Ghana for about 38 mins but its awesome and you shaould see it,when the skys twilight is replaced by the black disk of the moon,a night in the day.There may be pictures of it but its better to see for youself.The last time it happened in Ghana was 59 years ago,1947.
In Ghana it starts at 8;30 with the partial eclipse as the moon covers the first half of the sun,then the total between 9;08and9;15.
Its risky to watch with the naked eye so get your shades,binoculars, telescopes cameras are not safe so get yours.In Ghana you can get it from the Centre for Remote Sensory &Geographic Info,Services at University of Ghana,Legon and all basic and second cycle institutions.
Lets all go out on the 29th March in our shades and see the day-night phenomenom.

don't be expensive

A man went to a tailoring shop and this what happened:
He says; When i called into a tailor to buy a regular size suit-off the peg i found that the jacket fitted perfectly.Unfortunately,too many pasta dinners and real ales meant that the waistband of the trousers was far too tight.
"Don't worry"said the affable salesman"we can alter it for you for a small fee".
I then pointed out to him that the trousers were too long and he cheerfuly agreed to alter them free of charge.
'Wait a minute" i queried"you've charged me for the waist alteration but not for the length?"
"Well sir"he said with a smile" thats because the length of your legs isn't your fault"
You know the next statement his waist is therefore he had to pay.So the next time you have to eat remember this man and don't be expensive.Its your life its my life and we live it like we want to.

theres always a first time.

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath and stopped centimetres infront of a shop window.
For a second everything went quiet in the car, then the driver said 'look here man , don't ever do that again.You scared the daylights out of me!" The passenger appologized and said he didn't know a tap would scare him that much.The driver replied "Sorry, its not your fault .Today is my first day as a cab driver.I've been driving a funeral van for the past 25 years and for a second i thought the person tapping me was....you know"
Theres always a first day, but you'll get used to it as time goes on, so don't give up but rather press on cause from then you may be the best.

look to the fuure

A wife woke up in the middle of the night to find her husband missing from bed.She got out of bed to check out where he was and heard sobs in the basement.
After turning on the light and descending the stairs, she found her husband curled up into a little ball sobbing.
"Honey, what's wrong?" she asked worried about what could hurt him that much.
"Remember 20 years ago, i got you pregnant?And your father threatened me to marry you or go to jail?"
"Yes of course" she replied.
"Well, i would have been released tonight"
From this, the man had regretted his actions twenty years ago, he had only thought of the prison food and been in the same place all the time and not the woman he would have to live with all his life.Lets not make decisions by what is present but with the future in mind.

"A few minutes later he returned enjoying his pastry. He handed me over ten copecks and said "I'm sorry but there was only one left"
This is one interesting thing i read from the readers digest and from it i learnt that doing things yourself does help even if you have good intention. But remember its your life, its my life and we live it like we want to.

A member of parliament died and within hours an eager candidate called to offer his name as a successor.
"So, sorry to hear of the death of Mr.Aikins " he said" Is there chance of my taking his place?".
"Its OK with me" replied the branch president"as long as the undertaker does not have an objection"
Taking actions with ulterior motives are really bad and you should avoid doing this or you may prematurely end up in the grave.Until till its your life,its my life and we live it like we want to.

Consider the case of a man who left the cold climate of his town for a vacation in a hot climate. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day.
When he reached his hotel, he decided to send her a quick e- mai.Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written the address,he did his best to type it from memory.Unfortunately,he missed a letter and so his note was directed to an elderly preachers wife whose husband had passed away only the day before.

'cluck,cluck,cluck" go Shaggy and Scooby-dooto show they're really big chickens.Scooby-doo is a cartoon that kids alll over the world really love and i also do.But you know they just can't help getting in the way of the ghosts. Fred, Wilma and Daphne anyway just don't meet them ,maybe its because they're not scared.
Do you have this ghost that makes you a chicken just like Scoooby and Shaggy, as Proverbs said get all the advice and knowledge you need and then face it.Maybe with a MUMBA-JUMBA dance.

You see,it was my birthday and it was a Sunday.After a blisfull sermon ,i met them and after warm handshakes they handed over to me my present. It was from all three of them anyway so i got home to unwrap them and thats when i had the shock of my life.
They had boughtme something but not what i'll ever expectnin my life.It was a perfume, one that could have its lasting effect for over two days.Whyy??, i kept asking myself . There were three of them and two of them girls which meant they knew what they were buying.A boy is fine, maybe he wanted me to have whathe didn't have but two girls meant something.And girls you know are really concerned about appearances so ...
I had nightmares that day and i could see smiles on their faces saying atlas it'll be all over with breaths of relief.From that day i had two baths a day and made sure my underpants were clean.
